This is an old design so it doesn’t use LEDs but does use a 250w halogen lamp which will last up to 1000 hours. In the manual it does say that there is no cooling down time needed but I would personally give it as long as possible before I moved it to pack it away. The lamp can be easily changed in the Mania EFX500.

It can be controlled by DMX if need be but can also be left in stand alone mode to show off it’s pre-programmed sequences or used as a master/slave.

The EFX500 has 11 gobos plus a blackout sequence. Combining that with the 12 pre-programmed macros this unit is ready to be used at a flick of a switch and can be left to play continuously throughout the night.

The MAC Aura™

The MAC Aura™ is the first of it’s kind to produce the “eye-candy” effect. This means that the Aura’s lens can produce it’s own array of colors, which can be different to the color of the main beam being produced from the unit itself. It does this by having it’s own set of RGB LEDs just behind the lens of the unit to light the lens itself. This gives the fantastic eye-candy effect. It also utilises LEDs instead of its older counterpart, the halogen bulb. LEDs are quickly over taking the halogen bulbs place for many reasons. The main reason is that they will last for up to 100,000 hours and even if an LED was to blow, the unit will still function as normal.
